Happy Father’s Day 2014 to all the fellas around the world. Whether you’ve biologically contributed to the life of your son / daughter, or you decided to fill the gap where another father quite during the game, I’d like to say Happy Father’s Day 2014, and thanks for playing the game.
So what can you give someone who has filled a gap, provided shelter, walked you to school, played with you when it was to wet or cold outside. On the other hand, maybe he encouraged you when you wanted to quit, believed in you when you didn’t, or trusted you when everyone else doubted.
That’s a good question. And a tough question at that. But let me help you out from a “Father’s” perspective. Some of us like gifts…Some of us like hugs…Some of us like donuts and coffee mugs…But ALL of us enjoy the site of “our” child growing up, helping someone in need…or praying for another’s salvation, who won’t fall on their knees.
When a father witnesses his child giving life to a dieing soul, it’s a priceless gift that can never unfold. You may not see the tears upon his face, but rest assured my son / daughter, early in the morning or late at night, those tears run down your father’s face.
So don’t worry about making a mistake or two, your fathers has made several himself, probably 10 or 100 times more than you.
So what do you give your father when you don’t know what to do? How about a kiss on the cheek, and a slap on the ???, that might get his blood running kinda fast. Honestly, it really doesn’t matter, as long as your fathers knows you appreciate him is all that matters.
Happy Father’s Day 2014 fellas, and may you have many more to come.
